Dawn II Ferry St. Maarten to Saba, Tuesdays, Thursdays & SaturdaysSaba by sea:Dawn II Logo
For seafarers, for many years only The Edge consistently provided ferry services from St. Maarten to Saba. Since January 2006, Dawn II now gives Saba residents and visitors an alternative to using Winair on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. If flights are full or you must carry additional luggage or just prefer to go boat rather than plane, the Dawn II’s schedule works to depart Saba early (to catch an international flight) and arrive Saba late (flying in to SXM on an international flight). Dawn II leaves Saba at 7:00 a.m. to travel to St. Maarten. Dawn II departs St. Maarten from Chesterfield's (Great Bay Marina) at 4:30 p.m. so that you're on Saba by 6:00 p.m. Check out the website for most up-to-date schedules or simply contact their office directly.

The Edge Ferry Service St. Maarten to SabaEdge Ferry LogoAqua Mania (at Pelican Resort) is the owner of The Edge and the provider of water sports activities on Dutch St. Maarten. The Edge is still the most economical option for those persons staying on St. Maarten and looking to come to Saba for the day and return back to SXM the same day--or to come to Saba for a few days as an add-on to your St. Maarten trip. Make your reservations in advance with Cathy or Debby or stop by when in St. Maarten. The Edge comes to Saba, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. The Edge schedule does not allow for same day air travel connections, but it’s a great option for those with overnight layovers in St. Maarten. The Edge departs Simpson Bay's Pelican Marina at 9:00 AM (you must arrive by 8:15 a.m. for paperwork) arriving in Fort Bay, Saba at approximately 10:30 a.m. The return trip from Saba is at 3:30 p.m. and arrives in St. Maarten at 5:00 p.m.
