Sea Saba and Juliana's Hotel are proud to be sponsors for the 14th Annual International Gay & Lesbian SCUBA Jamboree.  This year, the event was held on Cozumel.  Sea Saba and Juliana's again donated a free trip which was part of an auction.  Join over 120 gay and lesbaian SCUBA divers for a fun-filled week of diving while at the same time participating the world's only charitable SCUBA jamboree devoted to the support of lesbian and gay health concerns.  Bid on the trip and perhaps you can be the lucky one to visit Saba.

Diving For Life
Another Great Success!

December 6, 2003--Diving for Life (DFL) 2003, announced they will distribute $35,000 to charities in the United States, Canada, and England.  DFL obtained this money from travel agent commissions and a raffle / auction program at their Gay and Lesbian Scuba Jamboree in Cozumel on September 20-27, 2003.  This figure is astounding, considering we had 120 participants.  (Resort size and dive-safety limit our participant numbers.)

Because of contributions, the raffle and auction program was a huge success and raised close to $22,000.

Recipient health-service organizations from the 2003 event will be selected by local scuba clubs in the next months.  Our recent recipient organizations have included:  AIDS Committee, Toronto, ON; AIDS Resources Center and Walt Whitman School, Dallas, TX; Billy de Frank Gay and Lesbian Center Youth
Services, San Francisco, CA; Boston Living Center, Community Research Initiative of New England, Callen Lordes Health Project of New York City; Community Servings, and Positive Steps of New England; Equity Foundation, Portland, OR; Food Chain, London, UK; Food and Friends and Lesbian Services Programs of Whitman Walker Clinic, Washington, DC; Inland AIDS Project, Los Angeles, CA; and Maryland Community Center.

The location and dates of their Thirteenth Annual Jamboree are being negotiated and discussed now.  Stay tuned for an update.
