Daphne Cottage is one of Saba's oldest cottages but the most recent to be fully restored. Ideally located in the heart of Windwardside, this delightful home is within 5 minutes walk of grocery stores, restaurants and the Sea Saba shop.
Some of our clients may remember Daphne as a rental from years ago--though sweet then, it's even nicer now. A Sea Saba diver for many years Philippe Rowland of French St. Martin sold his business and devoted 6 months to Daphne's restoration. Sparkling new appliances and a revamped kitchen are just a few of the things Philippe improved upon. When he's not weekend-ing here with his family, the home is available to tourists for short and long-term rentals. also see Local News for the Daily Herald Article of Philippe's refurbishment... From the rear, Daphne offers a private sitting area with views to Mt. Scenery. The front porch (or as the locals call it "the gallery") lets you watch the world go by in Windwardside with ocean views as well. The large garden--pictured above with Philippe--is meticulously groomed (you can even practice putting!) with a variety of flowering plants. There are chaise lounge chairs for afternoon sunbathing or late afternoon relaxing. Inside, this 750-square foot home has all you need: modern kitchen, comfortable living room (with cd and dvd player--intentionally no t.v.!), two bedrooms (each with double bed), one bathroom with shower. Comfortable for 2 persons, a party of 3 or 2 couples.
Don't forget to look at our Travel Tips page for helpful hints for packing to dealing with airports--and especially for cottage rentals, our extra service of having your fridge stocked before you get to Saba!
